Homeland: Africa
Eats: Wild grasses, roots, berries, and bark. Although we warthogs are generally pretty quiet, we grunt while eating. You may have heard me grunt a couple of times on the video. My wife tells me I have the cutest grunts shes ever heard.
Fun facts:
No one knows for sure why we warthogs have warts. Some folks think these big fleshy bumps on our faces help protect us during fights. I myself think its just to make us incredibly beautiful.
Because we have short necks and fairly long legs, we have to get down on our knees to eat. Then we slide along on our knees as we munch! But that's no trouble for our knees, because they happen to come with built-in knee pads!
Warthogs have tails with a tassel at the end. We hold our tails straight up when we run. It's quite a sight kind of like were waving a little flag while were leading a parade.
