 Homeland: Southeastern Siberia, and northern China and Korea Eats: Siberian tigers are carnivores (meat-eaters), and feast on deer, wild pig, and antelope. When big animals are scarce, we'll eat smaller animals, including rabbits and even fish! Fun facts: • Siberian tigers are the largest of all cats. We can weigh up to 650 pounds! That's one big kitty! • A Siberian tiger's coat has much more white than other tigers'. Our white areas help camouflage us in the snowy areas where we live. We get a thick yellowish-white topcoat during winter to help us blend into the snow even more. • We have to work hard for our food: Only about one in 10 hunting trips is successful. That's a lot of work for one good meal. Speaking of which, just between us, I don’t really eat meerkats. I was just pretending in the video. Meerkats don’t even live in the same part of the world we do. Makena the meerkat is a good actress, don’t you think? |
